You might have a lot of questions about ManageMail. Here you;ll find the answers to most of them but if there is anything that isn't answered here or elsewhere on the site then please use the Contact Form to get in touch and we'll answer anything you care to ask.
Q. What is the price of ManageMail and what does the price include?
A. ManageMail costs £250 (+vat) this is the only price you'll pay to use the system and includes the full software plus any updates made to the system in the years to come.
Q. What format is the e-mail sent in?
A. All e-mails are sent in HTML format meaning you can add images, and links to other sites. Text can be formatted in better ways then text-only e-mails and, in general, HTML e-mails tend to look nicer.
Q. How many recipients can I add?
A. As many as you like. The trial version is limited to only 5 recipients but the full version lets you add as many recipients as you like.
Q. What about mailing lists?
A. You can setup as many mailing lists as you wish. There are two types "Public" and "Private", if someone joins from your website, they can select the public mailing lists they'd like to be signed up to. Only you can add recipients to private mailing lists either when they are first added to the system or by editing the recipient at a later date. The system fully manages the subscribing and unsubscribing of recipients to the different mailing lists you have setup.
Q. How many e-mails can I send out per week/month/year?
A. You can send as many e-mails as you like. There are no limits.
Q. How many e-mails can I work on at any one time?
A. You can work on as many as you like. You can only stop editing an e-mail once it has been sent.
Q. Is there a size limit to the e-mails I send?
A. No. E-Mails sent with ManageMail can be any size.
Q. Are images sent with the e-mails?
A. No, in order to keep the size of the e-mail down, images are stored on our servers and are linked to from the e-mail. This means that the person reading your e-mail has to be online when they read it (else the images won't appear) but the e-mail should download to them very quickly.
Q. How are images uploaded to your system
A. Uploading images is a simple three-step process. You simply find the image on your own computer, click the upload button and then say where the image is to go within your message.
Q, What image formats are supported?
A. At present, only .jpg images are supported but you will be able to upload .gif images in the near future
Q. Can I link to any other files from my e-mails?
A. Yes, any file can be uploaded to the site and linked to from your e-mails.
Q. How are recipients added to the system?
A. You can either enter them one at a time or you can import them from a .csv (text) file, ManageMail also supplies you with code to add to your own website so that visitors can add themselves to your mailing list.
Q. There is information that I'd like to appear on every e-mail, can this be done?
A. Yes, your can setup a header and footer that are added to each e-mail that you send out.
Q. What formatting options are available?
A. You can change the background colour of the e-mail, the background colour of the text area and a border between the text area and the backgorund colour. You can set the font used (fonts are restricted to those deemed "web friendly"), size and colour of text. The header, main area and footer, item titles and item text can all be set to different fonts, sizes and colours.
Q, Can recipients that I add to the system unsubscribe?
A. Yes. We don't want ManageMail to be used as a spamming system so at the bottom of each e-mail sent to each recipient there is a link to unsubscribe from the mailing list and a link to report suspected spamming. Any ManageMail user found to be sending deliberate spam will be removed from the system without a refund being paid.
Q. Can the unsubscribe / Report spam links be removed?
A. No.
Q. How do I get visitors to my website to sign-up for my mailing lists?
A. We'll supply you with the HTML code you need to put onto your website so that people can subscribe. The code can be placed anywhere you like.
Q. Do messages sent with ManageMail include advertising?
A. Only a "Powered by ManageMail" link at the bottom of each e-mail and a link to the ManageMail website on the unsubscribe page.
Q. What support is available?
A. Full e-mail based support is provided and there is a comprehensive online manual available to view at any time.
